//welcome to koifish.blog:

> this is a small subsection of the internet created to scream into the digital void

//who are you?

> im olly, a 20ish year old who's interested in early internet culture and a range of creative projects but primarily 3d art and game dev

> i've worked on a few cool projects (including this one) so i felt i should compile for any who's interested

//why make this site?

> social media is at an all time low with hate being pushed through monetary incendivised algorithms

> creative expression and autonomy on the internet help challenge the need for large scale social media which become right wing echo chambers

> websites are easy and cheap for everyone to make and can be entirely molded into whatever you want

> learning is free and accessible through guides such as[this one]

//what's the point of this site?

> practically nothing besides the fact i wanted to - but there doesn't really need to be?

> being a creative self-made website is already enough to justify it's existence

> this place makes for a good place to showcase my own work and thoughts and can be presented in the format i best want

//why isn't your website suited to run on ___?

> this website was created by and for myself and was designed to just run on my pc

> i'm not really interested in reworking everything to make it work on a device i'll probably never touch

> so any device compatibility issues will probably not be fixed sorry :P

//what's the future of the website?

> koifish.blog is very fluid in nature at the moment, and i will be updating and adding whatever i find cool

> artistically this doesn't feel like it's "complete" so keep an eye out for future developments
